Collingswood SAT AUG 09

Hello, Vendors and Friends of the Collingswood Farmers’ Market!
HALFWAY THROUGH!
For those of us who participate all the way to Thanksgiving, this week (WEEK 15) marks the halfway point through our 30-week season. Two weeks ago, we passed the halfway point for vendors who don’t attend in November. How’s it going for you so far?

WEATHER FORECAST
The current forecast is delightful. (Just for the record, despite miserable predictions and early morning nastiness, no rain fell on the Market last Saturday once it started at 8am.)

VENDOR PARKING PERMITS
It’s good business to save the best parking spaces for SHOPPERS!
Most visitors will tell you it’s tough to find parking at the Market. We make things worse by parking our own vehicles in spaces that could be used and re-used many times by shoppers. Please encourage your table crew to park for free in the Lumberyard Parking Garage (just across Collings Avenue from the west entrance). There are plenty of spaces inside, and the walk back to the Market takes 3 minutes.

SITE MAP FOR SAT AUG 09
Here’s the Site Map.GUEST VENDORS
Five favorites this week: Green Aisle Grocery, Green Ford Farm’s blueberries, Weckerly’s Ice Cream, and the brand new SOOM Foods, who will bring some remarkable tahini (white sesame seed paste) in natural and chocolate flavors.
LIVE MUSIC
Two beloved acts play our stages this week: Sam Caruso on the west stage, Dave Kelly on the east.
BID VENDORS
As always, Mike DiBartolo, not David Hodges, is your contact for all questions regarding BID participation at the Market. (609) 949-3424. mikied721@gmail.com.
GUEST ARTIST
  • Selena Braunstein (Creatively Obsessed) takes vintage buttons, books, watches, chandelier crystals, and other found items and upcycles them into new jewelry and accessories. See her in the Guest Artist Space 24.

NONPROFIT FUNDRAISER
Furever Free works with the community to enable pets to remain with owners during tough times. It assists with spaying, neutering, and vaccinations, and strives to have every animal welcomed in the home as a true family member. Drop by the Guest Vendor area to ask founder Kimberly Laipple for details of their recent successes.

FLEXIBLE SITE PLAN
Changes will continue to occur throughout the season as vendors come and go and as we learn more about how neighbors interact. I remind you no spaces are ever guaranteed and require your cooperation if I have to move your location any given week. Thank you.
