Collingswood SAT MAY 30

Hello, Vendors, Artists, and Friends of the Collingswood Farmers’ Market! We’re back in our usual (and preferred) places this week.

Weather Forecast

Looks like a beauty. The forecast is excellent.

Site Plan for SAT MAY 30

Guest Vendors

Two Guests, Market Day Canele, and Weckerly’s Ice Cream will take spots inside the Market. John & Kira’s Chocolates, Dee Dee’s Garden, Neil’s Sharpening Service, and the brand new O Made Granola will take spaces in the Guest Vendor area.

Guest Artist

Market favorite Tammy Riley (Ginkgo Girls) is our Artist of the Week for SAT MAY 30.

She’ll bring her trademark felted wool goodies, including the new Farmer’s Market Friends—fruits and veggies inspired by the Collingswood Farmer’s Market offerings!  There will also be plenty of wine bags, Hedgies, and new toys including Bigfoot, Yeti, Nessie and Cthulhu. Visit her Etsy page for a sneak peek:  https://www.etsy.com/shop/iFeltFanciful?ref=hdr_shop_menu

Tomato Plush

Live Music

Sam Caruso plays the West Stage, and She Hates Me will command the new official Market Music Tent, sponsored by Collingswood Music.

Dog Tent

New Jersey Aid for Animals will staff the new Dog Tent for us this week, continuing our rollout of the Dog Behavior Policy.

Every dog in the Market will be required to register and agree to comply with the Behavior Guidelines. Registered dogs will use the hot yellow 4-foot Market Permit Leash, making them easily identifiable. Dogs that misbehave will surrender their leashes.

OUR PART
David Hodges and the Collingswood Special Police will enforce the Guidelines, lightly at first, but increasingly strenuously throughout the month of May. By the first Saturday in June, we hope all dogs in the Market will be registered.

YOUR PART
If good dog behavior is important to you, you’ll comply beginning in June with the No Permit, No Purchase policy, declining to serve customers who don’t choose to cooperate with the Permitting and Behavior Guidelines.

Dog 2Up

BID Vendors

Perennial favorites, DiBartolo Bakery, Villa Barone Restaurant, Cheese Etc., and Sara’s Produce will all attend. We’ll also host representatives from Collingswood Music. Meredith Greimel (Beaucycled) will bring her cactus and succulent displays.

Mike DiBartolo of DiBartolo Bakery is your contact for all questions regarding BID participation at the Market. (609) 949-3424 cell for voice or text.

VENDOR PARKING PERMITS

It’s good business to save the best parking spaces for SHOPPERS! Most visitors will tell you it’s tough to find parking at the Market. We make things worse by parking our own vehicles in spaces that could be used and re-used many times by shoppers. Please encourage your table crew to park for free in the Lumberyard Parking Garage (just across Collings Avenue from the west entrance). There are plenty of spaces inside, and the walk back to the Market takes 3 minutes.

Flexible Site Plan

Changes will continue to occur throughout the season as vendors come and go and as we learn more about how neighbors interact. I remind you no spaces are ever guaranteed and require your cooperation if I have to move your location any given week. Thank you.

Collingswood Mayfair SAT MAY 23

Hello, Vendors and Friends of the Collingswood Farmers’ Market!
Week 4 of our 2015 Season is the very different Mayfair Saturday.
As we do just once every year, we’re relocating to Irvin Avenue this week to accommodate Mayfair. For experienced vendors, this is no surprise; for newcomers, the dislocation will be startling.

MayFair SitePlan2015

VEHICLES ARE PROHIBITED
Vehicles cannot be driven into or parked on Irvin Avenue, which is narrower than our usual spaces. Instead, you’ll be parking in the lot behind the Kitchen Associates building and unloading by foot onto Irvin Avenue.
DO NOT DRIVE ONTO IRVIN AVENUE
A few vendors have made appointments with David to arrive at particular times for very brief vehicle access. Unless you have a scheduled time to use your vehicle, park in the Kitchen Associates lot and walk your setup.
Site Plan and Pavement Chalk
  • The Irvin Avenue Site Plan is attached.
  • In addition, David will be chalking the pavement squares with your initials to confirm which spaces you’ve been assigned.
GUEST VENDORS
We had no room for Guest Vendors this week. We have however made space for one Market Sponsor: Healing Space. Stop by for a relaxing chair massage when the stress of the day gets to be too much. 🙂
BID VENDORS
Mike DiBartolo will attend with his groaning tables of baked goods. Villa Barone will set up a table too. Sara’s Produce will join them both near the intersection of Haddon Avenue. They will be the only representatives of our BID contingent this week. As always, Mike DiBartolo, not David Hodges, is your contact for all questions regarding BID participation at the Market. (609) 949-3424. mikied721@gmail.com.
VEGGIE VALET / NONPROFIT FUNDRAISER
There will be no Veggie Valet or dedicated Nonprofits spaces (and no Dog Tent) this week. All will return SAT MAY 30.
FLEXIBLE SITE PLAN
This week especially I will need vendors to be flexible and understanding as you set up your spaces. I will be on the site from 6am until 8am to facilitate the load-in, after which I will depart to visit the Burlington County Farmers’ Market in Moorestown. (It’s the only Saturday I am free to see this Market, and I’ve never been there.) Remain calm and sell a lot of stuff.

Collingswood SAT MAY 16

SAT MAY 16

Hello, Vendors, Artists, and Friends of the Collingswood Farmers’ Market! Our season is off to a wonderful start. This week we may have our first weather challenge.

Weather Forecast

Starts out scary. The forecast is for rain overnight Friday into Saturday. It could be a wet setup, but is expected to clear as the Market day continues. Will be humid though, even when it’s dry. (OR . . . the whole thing could miss us completely. :))

Site Plan for SAT MAY 16

Guest Vendors

Two Guests, Green Aisle Grocery, Market Day Canele, and Constellation Collective will take spots inside the Market. SOOM Foods and Weckerly’s Ice Cream will take familiar spaces in the Guest Vendor area. And Windy Farm will be bringing their live alpacas.

Guest Artist

Jill Hawes is our Artist of the Week for SAT MAY 16. Jill creates custom wearable art that will change the way you think about tie dye! Each piece is creatively unique and made with love. Check out her facebook page, and then come see her stuff in person, in Space 27.

Lourdes Health Center and the Oaklyn Food Pantry will team up again this week to collect food donations for our food-insecure neighbors in nearby towns. Please consider buying a little extra to donate to the cause.

Dog Behavior Policy

Starting Opening Day, we will roll out a Dog Behavior and Permitting program designed to encourage good pet and owner behavior and eliminate troublesome animals. Every dog in the Market will be required to register and agree to comply with the Behavior Guidelines. SAT MAY 16, Camden County Animal Shelter will staff our Dog Tent.
