Voorhees JUN 15 2013

JUN 15 VoorheesHello, Voorhees Marketeers!

General Notes

Gorgeous weather and a fun special promotion should combine to create a wonderful Market Saturday.

Vendor Notes

  • LATE ADDITION: Rodizio Grill is joining the Market this week in space 04, in front of Burger 21. Visit Emeritus in its new location at space 08.
  • Bellview Winery returns this week for their first appearance in June. Welcome them back. Remind your customers that we have fine wines every week.
  • Renee Sikking and Sue Sikking Kearns of Sikking Flowers, Vineland, will visit Saturday to scout our market for their family farm. They’re an excellent, reputable grower with plenty of Market experience. If you get a chance to meet them, please encourage them to bring their hanging baskets, cut flowers, bouquets, and arrangements for the rest of the season. They would complement our roster beautifully.
  • Hank Sauce will be back for a second week.
  • Woods Edge Wool Farm will be here with a freezer load of beef and probably some yak. They’ll also have alpaca wearables including socks and scarves, their gorgeous blankets, PLUS beeswax candles and honey.
  • Guuky Natural Cosmetics (Pure and Natural, Green and Clean, from right here in Mount Laurel) will take a tent this week with their own line products. We think they’ll find our shoppers receptive to their “made by the vendor” approach.

caribbeanCaribbean Block Party

Activities begin at 9am and end at noon.
  • Steel Drums Calypso Band
  • Liberty Travel will join us under the Information tent
  • Pony rides will take place in the field along the retainer wall
  • Baby Farm Animal Petting Zoo also along the retainer wall.
  • The Children’s Discovery Museum Tent
  • Floral Lei’s will be available for vendors to give as gifts with purchase.
  • Palm Tree decor.
  • Vendors requested to embrace the theme by wearing colorful island garb
  • Balloon Artist will be on site near Duffield’s where children will most likely want a few dozen extra donuts while they wait their turns.

Courier-Post Advance Promotion

Here’s a link to the story titled “Caribbean Scene at Voorhees Farm Market this Weekend” that appeared in the June 12 Courier-Post.

JUN 08 SITE PLAN

GENERAL NOTES
I delayed posting the site plan this week in the hope of better news from several vendors. Now that all the news is in, the Site Plan is complete.
WEATHER
This messy junk will pass by 3AM. We’ll have a pleasant, dry, party sunny day tomorrow for the Market hours. Bring your best stuff and sell out!
VENDOR NOTES
  • Monroeville Winery is back this week for another round of wine sales. Next week, they’ll make way for Bellview Winery so the Market will never be without a wine vendor.
  • Visalli Farm will not return. We regret losing them, but they were not able to make a go of the Market without selling produce. We are currently interviewing nurseries and greenhouses looking for a replacement. If you know a reputable farm you’d like us to invite, please reach out to David.
  • Brand new vendor Hank’s Hot Sauce will be joining us for the first time this week and plans to spend the rest of the season. Please spend a minute making them feel welcome.
  • Woods Edge Wool Farm will return next week, SAT JUN 15, with their unique variety of farm products—beef, yak, alpaca wool, candles, honey . . . .
  • We’re also expecting Momma’s Home Made to bring their signature apple sauce, perhaps as soon as next week.
Remember, no particular space is ever guaranteed. We do our best to accommodate your space and location needs, especially if you make them known to us! We appreciate your flexibility in making the Market a big success for everyone.
