Load In
ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 2PM. THE ONLY ENTRANCE IS FROM HIGH STREET.
15 MINUTE TIME LIMIT FOR UNLOADING IN THE MARKET.
As you can see, the space is tight for the number of vendors, and getting in and out of our spaces will require planning and patience. Unless you have permission to park a vehicle inside the Market, you’ll have to drive carefully to your spot, unload VERY QUICKLY, then EXIT THE MARKET with your vehicle and set up when you return.
You can use (and tell your new customers to use) 2 High Street Mount Holly NJ
as a destination for mapping programs.

VENDOR PARKING PERMITS
It’s good business to save the best parking spaces for SHOPPERS! Most visitors will tell you it’s tough to find parking at the Market. We make things worse by parking our own vehicles in spaces that could be used and re-used many times by shoppers. There are plenty of spaces inside, and the walk back to the Market takes 3 minutes.

Anybody want some frozen scallops, tuna, salmon, or mahi mahi next week?
I have to admit this forecast is pretty intimidating. It has changed dramatically every day for several days, but if this is the last one, it’s not encouraging. I take the “Rain or Shine” policy seriously—Markets thrive on consistency—but if it’s actively raining at 1pm and at 2pm, then the rest of the forecast will be hard to ignore.
Please use text to communicate about weather updates.

Let David know if you want to be on the Featured Vendors’ list for THU JUL 18. We welcome all our vendors to provide us with information about their farms and foods. Shoppers appreciate knowing more about you.

Small Bills
Many of you know, but for those of you who don’t, I carry small bills for vendors who run out of singles during the Market day.
Flexible Site Plan
Changes will continue to occur throughout the season as vendors come and go and as we learn more about how neighbors interact. I remind you no spaces are ever guaranteed and require your cooperation if I have to move your location any given week.
THANK YOU

Collingswood SAT JUL 06
Forecast for SAT JUL 06
There’s a chance we’ll see our first wet Market of the 2019 season, but so far we’ve been lucky to “beat the forecast” for anything less than 50% likelihood of precipitation.
Official forecast for SAT JUL 06
Let those thunderstorms scatter somewhere else.

Collingswood Foods SAT JUL 06
Collingswood Section. To emphasize our own community’s food economy, at the west end of the Market, Collingswood food businesses have their own section to promote their contributions to the Borough’s vibrant food scene.

LOST BREAD’S GENEROUS SAMPLING TECHNIQUE
Revolution Roasters handles the fresh-roasted beverages, while El Sitio provides fantastic Ecuadoran specialties including empanadas and Pan de Yuca (cassava cheese bread treats). Villa Barone features familiar favorite sauces, tasty zeppolis, sometimes their own fresh mozzarella. Sara’s Produce by special arrangement is the one source for produce NOT grown in New Jersey. Lost Bread Co. of Philadelphia has taken up the familiar bakery space.

Susan Mauer Lynch (Yellow Room Upstairs). Moomin’s Vegetable Patch Summer Soup! In this installment of her “Cooking with Kids” collection, Susan takes the grands to the Collingswood Market to reproduce a vegetable soup from their favorite illustrated book series. Specifically, they buy and use Cauliflower and fresh dill from Muth Family Organic Farm, Peas from Springdale Farm (or Viereck), Carrots from her AT Buzby CSA share, Potatoes from Savoie Organic Farm, Spring onion from Formisano Farm, and Fresh herbs from Flaim Farm.

Saint Francis Peaceful Pause

KITTENS FROM SAINT FRANCIS PEACEFUL PAUSE
IN THE DOG TENT
Saint Francis Peaceful Pause Marie Dempsey provides foster care for cats and kittens in need of permanent homes. Peaceful Pause refers to that time between rescue and the uniting of needy animals with their forever homes. This week Marie will staff the Dog Tent for us and distribute the official Market Leash to dog owners new to the Market.
Live Music on Two Stages!
SAT JUL 06
LIVE MUSIC ON TWO STAGES FROM 9AM
BARRY HOLLANDER self-described jive turkey (to us he’s just a guitar phenomenon) Barry Hollander will pick and strum his way through an eclectic repertoire, perhaps with a guest on bass, on the west stage starting at 9am.
SHANNON MAGILL in the Collingswood Music tent. Shannon’s sultry contralto is just as compelling on an Amy Winehouse torch song as it is honoring popular tunes from the 40s and 50s.

VENDOR PARKING PERMITS
It’s good business to save the best parking spaces for SHOPPERS! Most visitors will tell you it’s tough to find parking at the Market. We make things worse by parking our own vehicles in spaces that could be used and re-used many times by shoppers. Please encourage your table crew to park for free in the Lumberyard Parking Garage (just across Collings Avenue from the west entrance). There are plenty of spaces inside, and the walk back to the Market takes 3 minutes.

Mount Holly THU JUL 04
Week 4 of the 2019 Season
THU JUL 04
The cows are celebrating America this week! Looks like typical summer weather for South Jersey. Hot and humid with a thunderstorm somewhere in the distance. (As long as they stay at a distance! 🙂 )
SITE PLAN THU JUL 04
FOR THU JUL 04. A few changes to last week’s siteplan.
- The wonderful Barn and Stone House Soap will join us this week with their handmade artisan soaps, personal grooming and cleaning products.
- Muth Family Organic Farm of Williamstown is off this week (back on THU JUL 11) so we’ve moved Stellitano’s Farm into their slot for tomorrow.
- Stellitano’s Farm will expand their presence to a two-tent operation this week and will be able to park their truck in the Market space.
- Robin’s Nest the restaurant has been closed for a few days and will take off tomorrow’s Market as well. They’ll return on THU JUL 11.
- We have a new artist this week and a new musician in the Music Tent.
- Big Catch will be adding Super Lump fresh crabmeat to its menu for the Independence Day holiday.
Load In
ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 2PM.
The directions will bring you to the Rowan College campus just across the street from the entrance to the Market.
Contracts and Fees
Those of you who have not submitted your Application/Contract paperwork need to comply to remain active at the Market and to take advantage of the Fee Rebate Program.
Download the Application from the Mount Holly Contracts link at the top of this website. Complete the app in Word, in PDF, or on paper, and send it to Sean Kennedy, whose name and address are on the first page of the contract package.
FEE REBATE PROGRAM
Prepay your dates to qualify for Fee Rebates. Earn a full 100% rebate for table fees for every Market you attend. Prepay for 10 dates (for example), attend those 10 dates, and you’ll be refunded 100% of your fees at the end of the season.
DAY PAY VENDORS
Afraid of commitment? You can pay on Market day. The Market Director will have receipts for day-pay vendors who prefer the flexibility of paying when they attend, but no rebates can be earned without prepaid dates.
Facebook Promotion
We were very visible on Facebook last week. Not so much this week. If anybody wants to help keep us in front of the local shopping public, let David know you want to lend a hand. Click the link to see what we’ve been up to.
