Collingswood SAT JUL 26

David Hodges

Hello, Vendors and Friends of the Collingswood Farmers’ Market!
We’re in it now! All the summer crops are in and we start wondering how humid the days will be. Here’s what Weather.com says about SAT JUL 26. Early morning could be a bit sticky, but the humidity eases as the day gets warmer. Looks like a beauty.
(What’s the difference between Mostly Sunny and Partly Cloudy? Sounds like Glass Half Full / Glass Half Empty to me. See if you can tell the difference at 10am!)

COUNTING THE CROWD.
Have you ever wondered how many attend our Market? We have. So this week, we’re going to count. A team of five (Joe Mick, Isobella Cerceo, Shirley Cotrotsos, Sean Garrity, and his girlfriend Cat) will scan the entrances—north, south, east, and west—and click their clickers for every shopper who enters. We’re very grateful to them for their help.

VENDOR PARKING PERMITS
It’s good business to save the best parking spaces for SHOPPERS!

Most visitors will tell you it’s tough to find parking at the Market. We make things worse by parking our own vehicles in spaces that could be used and re-used many times by shoppers. Please encourage your table crew to park for free in the Lumberyard Parking Garage (just across Collings Avenue from the west entrance). There are plenty of spaces inside, and the walk back to the Market takes 3 minutes.

Here’s the Site Map. Schober Orchard will expand to its full 6 spaces for the rest of the season. We’re operating at full capacity.

LIVE MUSIC
Two beloved acts play our stages this week: Little Stevie brings his many instruments and mojo to the west stage, while She Hates Me commands our attention to the east.
BID VENDORS
As always, Mike DiBartolo, not David Hodges, is your contact for all questions regarding BID participation at the Market. (609) 949-3424. mikied721@gmail.com.

  • Calling All Riders! As representatives of the National MS Society – Delaware Valley Chapter, Steven Burch and Stephen Drayton are seeking sponsors for the City to Shore Bike Tour, and recruiting riders for the tour.  They’ll also have pretzels and bottled water for sale in case you’re looking for either!
  • Calling All Walkers! Jennifer Haught and other committee members will work a table for FARE: Food Allergy Research and Education. They’re promoting/recruiting walkers for our annual walk for Sept 20 at Riversharks stadium and promoting food allergy awareness in the community!
FLEXIBLE SITE PLAN
Changes will continue to occur throughout the season as vendors come and go and as we learn more about how neighbors interact. I remind you no spaces are ever guaranteed and require your cooperation if I have to move your location any given week. Thank you.
