Mt Holly THU JUL 11
Week 5 of the 2019 Season
THU JUL 11
We’ve “weathered” some bad forecasts already this season, so we all know how hard it is to predict the actual conditions in our neighborhood at Market time. Granted, the outlook for scattered thunderstorms is worrying, but so far we’ve been Flooded out: ONCE, Rained on: NEVER; Totally Dry: THREE TIMES.

SITE PLAN THU JUL 11

FOR THU JUL 11. A few changes to last week’s siteplan.
- The Fabulous Fig truck is back with its wonderful plant-based prepared foods.
- Hoop House Bakery will debut this week with their pepperoni bread and bourbon sticky buns!
- Local stars Lone Wolf Farm will rejoin us this week after missing out on our Independence Day celebration.
- Muth Family Organic Farm of Williamstown is back this week in their spaces from two weeks back.
- Stellitano’s Farm will locate their two-tent operation this week alongside the Music Tent.
- Robin’s Nest is back.
- We have a new artist this week (Gonzo Glass) and a return engagement by singer/guitarist Glenn McCollum.
- Big Catch will move to the southwest corner and feature cod fillets along with the usual scallops, tuna, and salmon.
Chef Demo THU JUL 11

Chef James Brudnicki is the Director of the Culinary Arts Program at Rowan College at Burlington County’s Culinary Arts Center in Mount Holly – rcbc.edu/culinary.
We’re so lucky at the Market to have a celebrated chef LITERALLY right across the street from us, demonstrating the tastiest ways to make use of Jersey Fresh produce from the Market!
Check out this recent article from the Courier Post, featuring Chef Brudnicki – click here.
And don’t forget to come out to the Market tomorrow (7/11) for all of your Jersey Fresh needs, fresh pastured meats, bakery items, prepared foods, fresh seafood and more… and then walk 100 feet to see the chef do his magic in person!
Load In
ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 2PM. THE ONLY ENTRANCE IS FROM HIGH STREET.
15 MINUTE TIME LIMIT FOR UNLOADING IN THE MARKET.
As you can see, the space is tight for the number of vendors, and getting in and out of our spaces will require planning and patience. Unless you have permission to park a vehicle inside the Market, you’ll have to drive carefully to your spot, unload VERY QUICKLY, then EXIT THE MARKET with your vehicle and set up when you return.
The directions will bring you to the Rowan College campus just across the street from the entrance to the Market.
Contracts and Fees
Those of you who have not submitted your Application/Contract paperwork need to comply to remain active at the Market and to take advantage of the Fee Rebate Program.
Download the Application from the Mount Holly Contracts link at the top of this website. Complete the app in Word, in PDF, or on paper, and send it to Sean Kennedy, whose name and address are on the first page of the contract package.
FEE REBATE PROGRAM
Prepay your dates to qualify for Fee Rebates. Earn a full 100% rebate for table fees for every Market you attend. Prepay for 10 dates (for example), attend those 10 dates, and you’ll be refunded 100% of your fees at the end of the season.
DAY PAY VENDORS
Afraid of commitment? You can pay on Market day. The Market Director will have receipts for day-pay vendors who prefer the flexibility of paying when they attend, but no rebates can be earned without prepaid dates.
Facebook Promotion
We were very visible on Facebook last week. Not so much this week. If anybody wants to help keep us in front of the local shopping public, let David know you want to lend a hand. Click the link to see what we’ve been up to.
Website
The Township produced a sharp-looking website for our shoppers who think facebook is evil.
http://www.MountHollyNJFarmersMarket.com
Let David know if you want to be on the Featured Vendors’ list for THU JUL 18. We welcome all our vendors to provide us with information about their farms and foods. Shoppers appreciate knowing more about you.

Future Updates
Check back in to this space often. You don’t need to follow a link. Just navigate to http://www.FarmMarketeer.com
Small Bills
Many of you know, but for those of you who don’t, I carry small bills for vendors who run out of singles during the Market day.

Flexible Site Plan
Changes will continue to occur throughout the season as vendors come and go and as we learn more about how neighbors interact. I remind you no spaces are ever guaranteed and require your cooperation if I have to move your location any given week.
THANK YOU

Mount Holly THU JUN 27
Week 3 of the 2019 Season
THU JUN 27
Absolutely no threat of rain this Thursday, and sun in the forecast all the way from load-in to break-down. The cows are dancing this week, and shoppers will be out looking for your best Jersey Fresh.

SITE PLAN THU JUN 27

FOR THU JUN 27, I’ve made just a few changes to facilitate easier egress for our big trucks at the end of the Market day. Specca and Nature’s Own will anchor the “top” of the plan with a straight shot to the exit. I’ve relocated small-tent vendors to the west side of the plan where they can take their time breaking down without being in anybody’s exit lane.
The wonderful Barn and Stone House Soap will join us this week with their handmade artisan soaps, personal grooming and cleaning products.
Muth Family Organic Farm of Williamstown (well-known to most farmers and certainly to all organic farmers as masters of their craft) will join us this week to add organic produce to our menu.
Olde World Bakery still has not solved their staffing shortage problem and therefore must delay their arrival again this week. Please, if you can help them find table staff, we’re very eager to add them to our site plan.

For the most part, we’ll let last week’s Featured Vendors be this week’s Featured Vendors too since last week’s drew some bad weather. But we do want to introduce Muth Family Organic Farm, so you’ll probably see them on the page if you visit.

Mount Holly THU JUN 20
2nd Market of the 2019 Season
THU JUN 20
It’s been thunderstorming all night Wednesday going into Thursday, June 20. And the forecast is for more weather right through the day. Is it too much to hope we’ll be as lucky as we were last week? Maybe. But, just so there’s no misunderstanding, let’s review our Weather Plan.

Last week, rain was forecast for most of the Market hours, but miraculously we managed fair weather for the entire four hours from 3-7pm despite a deluge in the morning and another on the way home that night.
WE DON’T CANCEL FOR FORECASTS.
That said, the decision on whether to attend any Market is always yours. You know your own comfort level. You’re in charge of your own safety. If the threat of thunderstorms frightens you, by all means be your own judge of what’s in store.
I will be on the site from at least 1pm until 3pm to assist farms and any other vendors who come to sell. We will have live music if Marybeth Johns is game. If the rain stops, or is light, and shoppers come to buy from farmers, we’ll stay open. One way or the other, I’ll be there to the end to help out.
Changes to the Site Plan
FOR THU JUN 20, I’ve made just a few changes to facilitate easier egress for our big trucks at the end of the Market day. Specca and Nature’s Own will anchor the “top” of the plan with a straight shot to the exit. I’ve relocated small-tent vendors to the west side of the plan where they can take their time breaking down without being in anybody’s exit lane.
The Fabulous Fig joined us last week and will return when her prior commitments are met, but for this week, she was previously engaged.
The wonderful Barn and Stone House Soap was supposed to join us this week, but even if we don’t get severe weather, their product simply goes to suds on days like this one.
Muth Family Organic Farm of Williamstown (well-known to most farmers and certainly to all organic farmers as masters of their craft) will join us on THU JUN 27 to add organic produce to our menu.
Olde World Bakery still has not solved their staffing shortage problem and therefore must delay their arrival again this week. Please, if you can help them find table staff, we’re very eager to add them to our site plan.
322 BBQ is looking like a strong candidate to bring us some more prepared food options, but I probably shouldn’t say so until they get to visit once to check us out.
