Collingswood SAT SEP 12
Hello, Vendors, Artists, Food Artisans, and Friends of the Market!
This Week SAT SEP 12
Weather forecast for tomorrow.
Thunderstorms bad. Scattered is good. This usually means we get “missed,” but keep an eye on the skies as the morning moves along.
Site Plan for SAT SEP 12
This is accurate for SAT SEP 12. Let me know if I’ve made any mistakes.

BID Vendors
Familiar participants include perennial favorites, DiBartolo Bakery, Villa Barone Restaurant, Cheese Etc, and Sara’s Produce.
Mike DiBartolo of DiBartolo Bakery is your contact for all questions regarding BID participation at the Market. (609) 949-3424 cell for voice or text.
Small Bills and a Bathroom Key
Many of you know, but for those of you who don’t, I carry small bills for vendors who run out of singles during the Market day. For guest vendors who might not be aware, I also have a key to Perkins Art Center, a Market sponsor, the primary benefit of which, for our vendors is INDOOR PLUMBING!
Vendors Please Enforce: “No Permit, No Purchase”
This won’t be easy, but it’s necessary. If good dog behavior is important to you, you’ll comply in June with the No Permit, No Purchase policy, declining to serve customers who don’t choose to cooperate with the Permitting and Behavior Guidelines. David Hodges will distribute a small batch of Dog Behavior Guidelines to all vendors for distribution to anyone who appears at your table attempting to make purchases with a non-permitted dog.
It’s good business to save the best parking spaces for SHOPPERS! Most visitors will tell you it’s tough to find parking at the Market. We make things worse by parking our own vehicles in spaces that could be used and re-used many times by shoppers. Please encourage your table crew to park for free in the Lumberyard Parking Garage (just across Collings Avenue from the west entrance). There are plenty of spaces inside, and the walk back to the Market takes 3 minutes.
Flexible Site Plan
Changes will continue to occur throughout the season as vendors come and go and as we learn more about how neighbors interact. I remind you no spaces are ever guaranteed and require your cooperation if I have to move your location any given week.
THANK YOU

Site Plan for SAT SEP 05

No Market Director this week
David Hodges will take his one-Saturday vacation next week. He’ll be traveling in Hungary and Czechoslovakia for a week and will miss the SAT AUG 29 Market. This Saturday, we’ll do our best to set your location for the week he’ll be away so there will be no confusion during his absence.
Green Paint Stripes
On the “sunny side,” where spaces are not always fixed, I have painted a few important stripes with green spray paint to mark the limits of some larger vendors.
There are stripes to mark the ends of Springdale Farms, AT Buzby, Rick Hymer, DanLynn Organic, and Schober Orchards. Everyone else should be able to figure out your locations based on the positions those early arrivers take up.
Joe Williams (who helps out with our Dog Leash Program and who sets up and knocks down the Market tents) will be on the site with site plans to help resolve any confusion.

RICARDO TUMBAO
Meanwhile, on the East Stage beneath the Music Tent, a brand new act, Ricardo Tumbao, will perform. I don’t have a picture of him yet, but I’ll be sure to get one on Saturday. It’s even possible his name is not Tumbao, since that’s the word for music with a particular Cuban rhythm. Let’s just say we need to get acquainted.
Dog Tent
New Jersey Aid for Animals will staff the Dog Tent for us this week, but that particular duty is overshadowed by their participation in the Adoptathon. They will, however, be available to provide Market Permit Leashes to pet owners who haven’t yet legitimized their dogs.
BID Vendors
Two BID spaces have been taken over by the Adoptathon. The other four will be occupied by perennial favorites, DiBartolo Bakery, Villa Barone Restaurant, Cheese Etc, and Sara’s Produce.

BID Vendors
Perennial favorites, DiBartolo Bakery, Villa Barone Restaurant, Cheese Etc, and Sara’s Produce will all attend. Collingswood Music (our Music Tent sponsor) will also have a BID space. New soap-makers Chamomile Cottage Soap will have a promotional space but sell no soap.
Mike DiBartolo of DiBartolo Bakery is your contact for all questions regarding BID participation at the Market. (609) 949-3424 cell for voice or text.
VENDOR PARKING PERMITS
Thank you.

Collingswood SAT JUL 11
Hello, Vendors, Artists, and Friends of the Collingswood Farmers’ Market! Judging from the produce on offer, summer is truly with us.
Perfect Forecast
Oh, what a beautiful Market day. Perfect weather this week (according to several forecasts). Dry, sunny, and light humidity. Temperatures average 80 during the morning. The corn is as high as an elephant’s eye.
Site Plan for SAT JUL 11
Guest Vendors
We have a full roster of Guests this week. Brookeberry and Green-Ford will bring their exceptional berries, and Weckerly’s will be here with their premium local ice cream. Green Aisle Grocery will join the berries and ice cream on the sunny side near Schober (first peaches!). SOOM Foods, Wood Spoon, Market Day Canele, and Dee Dee’s Garden will have spaces in the traditional Guest Vendor area. Finally, the Constellation Collective will be making another appearance in the center of the Market, near Revolution Roasters.
Guest Artist
Heather Ossandon makes her first-ever appearance at the Market with her one-of-a-kind functional ceramics. Operating as The Chase Studios, she says this about her work: My recent work incorporates drawings of landscapes, cities and funny situations with dialogue inspired by music and literature. All work is dishwasher and food safe.
Live Music
Local businessman and popular musician Sam Caruso is back again this week, this time at the West Stage beneath the Speedline. Also, this week we welcome for their first ever gig in Collingswood, Matt Skoufalos and his Unstoppable Hack Beats!

Dog Tent
The Almost Home Shelter will staff the Dog Tent for us this week, continuing to register dogs that haven’t yet bought their official Market Leash Permits.
